A night for the stars of Australia and New Zealand’s solar industry

From some of the best residential and commercial solar installations, outstanding sales performance to the highest level of registrations received to be an REC Certified Solar Professional, the 2022 REC Annual Awards celebrated the achievements of our top partners in Australia and New Zealand.

The REC Annual Awards recognises our partners in Australia and New Zealand for their commitment towards designing and installing quality solar installations, advocacy for quality solar and for their outstanding sales contributions over the past 12 months. These awards serve as REC’s platform to celebrate and thank our highest achieving partners who have empowered our customers to switch to more responsible solar.

Hosted by Gus Paviani, Country Manager of REC Solar ANZ together with our master of ceremonies and comedian, David Smiedt, the finalists and winners for 18 awards including awards for the new categories of Partner of the Year and a Commitment to the Principles of Quality Award were announced.

Over 157 submissions were received for the 2022 REC Annual Awards. This included many outstanding entries in the highly contested residential and commercial installation categories for the REC Alpha and REC TwinPeak 4 Series panels.

A round of applause and congratulations to the winners and finalists for the fifth presentation of the REC Annual Awards:

• Winner of the REC Alpha Series Residential Installation of the Year: Bluegum Electrical Solutions. Finalists: MicroPico Systems and RenewCo Solar.

• Winner of the REC Alpha Series Commercial Installation of the Year: Red Dog Power Company. Finalists: Andreazza Electrical Pty Ltd and DNX Energy.

• Winner of the REC TwinPeak 4 Series Residential Installation of the Year: MicroPico Systems. Finalists: RenewCo Solar and Alex Pye Electric

• Winner of the REC TwinPeak 4 Series Commercial Installation of the Year: OTI Power. Finalists: East Coast Energy Solutions Pty Ltd and Rimfire Solar.

• REC Distribution Partner of the Year: BayWa r.e.

• REC Media Advocate of the Year: RenewCo Solar

• REC Certified Solar Professional of the Year: SolarWide

• REC Commitment to Principles of Quality: Superior Solar

• REC Alpha Series RCSP of the Year: Solaray Energy

• REC Regional Partner of the Year: East Coast Energy Solutions

• REC New Zealand Partner of the Year: Esolar

• REC New South Wales Partner of the Year: Solaray Energy

• REC Queensland Partner of the Year: SolarWide

• REC Northern Territory Partner of the Year: Rimfire Energy

Nominations for the 2023 REC Annual Awards will open in January 2024 and we would like to encourage our partners to start keeping great photos of their outstanding residential and commercial solar installations as we continue to ride the solar coaster wave in Australia and New Zealand.
